Charles Edward "Bud" Brenner, known by his friends and family as “Bud”, was born on October 21, 1937 in Unity Township, Pennsylvania. He passed away on August 27, 2018 at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman William Brenner and his stepmother, Theresa Brenner, his twin brother, Robert Brenner, his son, Bill Brenner, and his beloved wife, Eileen.
Bud is survived by his son, Steve Brenner and his wife, Lizette, his son, Lee Brenner and his wife, Tracy, his daughter, Sherri Herb and her husband, Bobby, as well as his grandchildren, Cody and his wife Klorissa, Kaitlyn, Bailey, Braden, Lawson, and Jake. He is also survived by his brother, Terry Brenner.
Bud proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed around the world, in Texas, Oklahoma, Canada, Japan, England, and Germany. He also served in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service. After retiring, he worked for his church, St. Thomas More, before working for the Civil Service at Fort Sam Houston and Brooks Air Force Base. He could be found enjoying his retirement on his front porch with his dog, Dolly, and visiting with the neighbors. He always enjoyed going to breakfast or lunch with friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 11th from 6-8:00 pm at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 12th at 9:00 am with burial to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
