Celia Jurado Godoy

Celia Jurado Godoy entered into the loving arms of our Lord on April 18, 2023 at the tender age of 70. She was born on June 15, 1952 to Luisa Morales Ortega and Alejandro Jurado Torres in Rodeo, Durango Mexico. She was the youngest of 5 children.

Celia was a caring woman and a hard worker. Her affection was shown through all of her cooking. Celia was referred to as “Cheli” at “Las Rancheritas” Mexican Restaurant where she worked for 30 plus years. She was best known for her award winning menudo, along with the best Tortillas, Gorditas, and Mole. All of her food was cooked with her secret ingredient, love.

Celia will be reunited in heaven with her parents, Luisa and Alejandro Jurado; brothers, Manuel Jurado Morales, Nicolas Jurado Moraes and Raul Jurado Morales.

Her memory will forever live in her son, Americo Godoy; grandchildren, Americo D. Godoy Jr., Giulianie Godoy, and Austin C. Godoy. Sister, Revcea Jurado Morales; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
