

Carolyn B. Meredith-Brown passed away December 17, 2010 in Rockwall, Texas, after suffering a stroke in July. She was born June 12, 1913, in Patterson, N.J., to Michael and Lydia (Rotundi) Deodati. Her family moved to San Antonio in 1914. Carolyn (aka Kay) was a business school graduate and worked in banking, home remodeling, real estate and investing. She was married three times for over 20 years each to Mr. Walter Breen, Dr. Richard Meredith and Lt. Col. Earle Brown. She traveled extensively and lived in several major US cities before returning to San Antonio in 1979 with Richard Meredith. Kay was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church, where she met and married Earle Brown in the Widows and Widowers Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight brothers and sisters: Josephine Martin, Mary Kizer, Frances Fuos, Joseph Deodati, Edith Miles, Frank Deodati, Michael Deodati and Yvonne Chretien. Carolyn is survived by her son: Walter Breen & wife Yvonne of Rowlett, TX; two granddaughters: JoAnna Zabolio & husband Dow of Irving, TX, and Nathalie Phillips & husband Bruce of Houston, TX; great grandchildren: Dow, Rebecca, Monica, and Jonathan Zabolio and Grace and Jacob Phillips. She was cremated and a Catholic funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 12th at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Rd., followed by interment at Sunset Memorial Park at 1701 Austin Highway.
