Carol Maureen Henry

Carol Maureen Henry, the daughter of George and Rosa (Ortman) Kaiser was born in Primghar, Iowa on December 17, 1919. After graduating from Primghar High School, Carol attended the American Institute of Business, Des Moines, IA. Carol was united in marriage to Lt. Col. John Dante’ Roger Ianni on May 1, 1948 in Las Vegas, Nevada. During Their United States Air Force career, Carol and John were stationed at numerous stateside and world bases. After retirement from the USAF, John and Carol lived in Nevada working with the Hughes/Nevada Casino Industry. They moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1977 and John passed away on March 31, 1978. Carol continued to live in Omaha until 1979 when she moved to San Antonio, Texas. Carol was united in marriage to Lt. Col. Charles Fogg Henry on January 28, 1983. They enjoyed golfing and retirement life together. Chuck passed away on August 20, 1992. Carol continued to live in her home until December, 1997, when she moved to The Army Residence Community in San Antonio, TX. She passed away on November 20, 2013. Carol was a member of the Eastern Star Coral Chapter #41 of Iowa 1941. Special interests of Carol‘s were golfing and traveling. She had a wonderful talent for entertaining and enjoyed sharing her many travels with her friends and family.

She is survived by her three nieces and their husbands: Kris and Lance Sorensen, Sanborn Iowa, Kathy, and Dennis Noble, Saginaw Michigan, and Mary Beth and Keith Van Meeteren, Sanborn, Iowa. Three nephews and their wives: Greg and Maria Kaiser, Pensacola Florida, Tim and Teri Kaiser, Voorhess, New Jersey, and Kevan and Lisa Kaiser, Hartley, Iowa and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Ianni and Charles Henry; her parents; George and Rosa Kaiser, and two brothers and two sisters in–laws, Ortman Kaiser and Fern Kaiser and Philip Kaiser and Mary Louise Kaiser.

A private graveside service will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the Army Residence Community Chapel at 2 pm on Wednesday November 27, 2013.
