Carlos C. Martinez, age 70 passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014. Carlos retired from Southwest Research Institute after 39 years in 2005. He currently was employed with Southwest ISD Transportation as a bus operator for the last few years. He is survived by his beloved spouse of 49 years, Mary Ann Banda Martinez, children Cindy Solano, Donna Martinez, Charles Martinez and Christy Tellez. Carlos has 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters as well as nieces, nephews and extended family members with numerous friends. Carlos will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Road, with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service at First Memorial Burial Park.
