Carlene S. Fey

Left behind to cherish Carlene's memory is her daughter, Michele Fey-Swellander and son-in-law, Eric Swellander; and her grandson, Joshua Swellander and his wife, Abby Kinsel. Carlene is greeted in Heaven by her mother, Gladys Stone; her father, Frank Carlin; her husband, Ronald Fey; sister, Viola Stone and her brother, Robert Stone.

Carlene graduated from Waite High School in Toledo, Ohio in 1955. Shortly after she began a long career with Civil Service that lasted over 35 years. Carlene loved to garden and loved being outdoors. She enjoyed painting with watercolor especially focusing on the flowers and landscapes.

Carlene had a deep faith in God and enjoyed studying the Bible throughout her life. Carlene was a loving daughter, sister, spouse and mother. She took wonderful care of her family and supported them in all that they chose to do. She was fiercely independent and looked at challenges as opportunities to grow and learn.

A committal service for Carlene will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
