Brent L. Mullen returned home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Brent was born January 17, 1944, in Brownsville, Texas, later moving to San Antonio, Texas, where he graduated from Highlands High School. After high school Brent enlisted in the Army where, among other assignments, he piloted “Cobra” and “Huey” helicopters in Vietnam. As an Army Aviator Brent attained the rank of Captain and was awarded several medals, including the Bronze Star.
After service to his country, Brent returned to civilian life, joining his brothers in insurance and construction businesses and managing commercial real estate in San Antonio. He later owned an auto repair business in Arizona.
Brent married Kathy Anderson (Harden) of San Antonio in 1998, and they lived happily together for 19 years.
Brent is survived by his wife Kathy Mullen; brother Scott Mullen; son Aaron Mullen and wife Jennifer; two step-sons Steve Anderson and wife Kristy; Tommy Anderson and wife Kathy; and five grandchildren: Isaiah, Wyatt, Thomas, Stephen and Laine. He was preceded in death by his parents F. L. and Velma Mullen and by two brothers: Terry and Royce Mullen.
Brent was a man that loved the Lord and was faithful to the end. He and Kathy were long time members of O’Connor Road Church of Christ and later North Central Church of Christ.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 3rd at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio at 9:00 a.m.
