

Bobby Dale Neely of San Antonio, Texas, born August 23, 1936, in Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on December 14, 2021, in his home surrounded by loved ones, at the age of 85. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Raymond Neely; mother, Myrtie Etoy Carter; daughter, Brenda Jean Neely; siblings: Barbara Ann King and Joyce Lee Lloyd and grandsons: Shawn Dale James, and Bobby Dale Neely.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Linda Neely; children: Glen David Neely (wife Laura), Gary Dale Neely (wife Michelle), and Brandi Jean Sander; grandchildren: Lauren Amber Neely, Shannen Nicole Neely, Johnny Dale McDonald, Taylor Elizabeth Neely, and Addison Rae Neely; great-grandchildren: Jasper Dale Sander, and Owen Michael Sander; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Bobby loved hunting, fishing, and being surrounded by family and friends. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1955 to 1959 followed by 8 years in the USCG Reserves. He dedicated over 30 years to Borden Dairy Co. and rounded out his career with 10 years with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in San Antonio. Bobby was extremely generous, loving, and a do-it-yourself master. There was not anything he couldn’t fix.
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home (6321 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78238) on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 am, with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II (746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237). *San Fernando requires attendees to wear masks and socially distance for the graveside service.*
