Bobby Tom Hogan passes away on June 13, 2020 at the age of 85, in San Antonio, TX. He was bon on April 8, 1934, in Morgan Texas. Bobby was the youngest son of Jim T. Hogan and Audrey Alberta Jackson. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend of many who will be dearly missed.
Pursuant to growing up in Morgan Texas, Bobby decided he wanted to experience life which lead him to traveling to San Francisco, California. After a short stay in California, Bobby returned to Texas and subsequently joined the U.S. Army. The Army was a perfect for him as it enabled him to once again explore the world and travel. After finishing Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training Bobby received military orders and was assigned to Frankfurt Germany. If you knew Bobby Frankfurt was special place for him as this is where he met the love of his life, Ms. Irmgard Krell. The story is he faked wanting to learn German just to get to meet Irmgard. Eventually, he won over her heart and they were married October 12th 1966. Shortly after their wedding, Bobby received assignment orders to Fort Sam Houston, Texas. During this assignment was when his first son Alfred, was born. It was also during this assignment, that Bobby was called to leave his family and go to Vietnam. Bobby served honorably in Vietnam, and subsequently rejoined his family after an extensive tour. He was then assigned to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where his second son Kevin was born. Although, he was glad to in the United States, he longed for the excitement of travel. Bobby’s wish was granted and the Army, subsequently reassigned him several more times wherein he served in Aschaffenburg, Germany; Fort Hood, Texas; Okinawa, Japan and subsequently retiring from the U.S. Army after a 27-year career in Pirmasens, Germany.
Bobby and Irmgard, remained in Germany for a short period after his retirement, and they subsequently returned Texas. Bobby then began his second career as a Civil Service employee of the United States Air Force. Again, this was a perfect fit for Bobby because he was a “Night Owl” and loved wearing a suit and tie. It’s been said that he was seldom seen wearing in anything else. Bobby served the Air Force for another 20 years working at the Randolph Officer and Civilians Club, Randolph Air Force Base, San Antonio.
Bobby, loved music, most all sports Baseball being his favorite and beside the place he held in is heart for Irmgard it was filled with the love for his family and for god. He was a man of honor and respect and did his best to make the lives of those around him better. He will definitely be missed.

He leaves to cherish his two sons, Alfred and Kevin Hogan; and grandchildren Magdelena; Semia; Ameerah and Neenah and nephews Harold Hogan and Gary Hogan.
Visitation for his friends and family will be held from 5:00 PM thru 7:00 PM., Sunday, June 21st, 2020. The Funeral Service will take place at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 noon, Monday, June 22nd, 2020 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with U.S. Army Funeral Honors.
