Billy F. Stuard

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Wyatte Jennings Stuard and Mary Priscilla Finley Stuard; four brothers, Wyatte Buford Stuard, Robert Moody “Red” Stuard, J.C. “Jake” Stuard, R.B. “Peaches” Stuard; wife, Elizabeth Saller Stuard and son Edward Bailey.

Sergeant First Class Billy F. Stuard was a highly decorated soldier in the United States Army who served three combat tours including one tour in Korea and two tours in Vietnam as a combat medic. After retirement he became a master plumber. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be missed by all his family. He was a member of Kirby Baptist Church for many years where he enjoyed volunteering wherever he was needed. He enjoyed family get togethers and reunions. He also was an avid golfer.

Billy is survived by his sons, Frank Bailey & wife Shelley, Jerry Stuard & wife Phyllis, Elly Bailey & wife Brenda, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren. The visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, followed by the graveside service at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
