Billie Jean Rahmberg passed from this earth on February 12, 2018. Born Billie Jean Minton on September 16, 1928 in Allen, Oklahoma, she grew up in San Antonio, Texas where she attended Jefferson High School and then University of Texas Nursing School in Galveston. Billie married Gene Harold Rahmberg in 1947, dedicating herself to being a devoted, caring, loving wife for 63 years until Gene passed in 2010. Billie dearly loved her family which was always the focal point of her life, and she in turn was dearly loved by all whose lives she touched. In addition to Billie’s beloved husband Gene, she is preceded in death by two sons, Gene Harold Rahmberg Jr. and Russell Ronald Rahmberg; her parents, Thomas Lee and Ferdelia Jean “Delia” Minton, siblings; Richard Lee Minton, Thomas Leon Minton, Lafayette Jefferson “Jay” Minton, Joseph Edd “Joe” Minton, and John Paul Minton, as well as many other family members and friends. Billie leaves behind many family members who will dearly miss her including her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Ayla Rahmberg; sisters, Ann West and Sue Nowlin; grandchildren, Rebecca Rinard, Samantha Rahmberg, Stephanie Chavez, Russ Rahmberg, Lauren Leth, Clay Rahmberg, Erin Rahmberg, and Thomas Rahmberg; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Graveside services will held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2 pm at Sunset Memorial Park at 1701 Austin Highway in San Antonio, Texas.
