Antonio G. Martinez

Antonio Gil Martinez, 86, passed away on October 7, 2020. Born on September 3, 1934 in Cementville, Texas, he is preceded in death by his parents, Bernardino Martinez and Dolores Cedillo Martinez; his beloved wife, Adela R. Martinez; his sisters, Carmen, Gloria and Socorro; his brothers, Louis, Simon, Joe and Adolfo.

Antonio is survived by his sons, Gil (Mary) and Roland (Yolanda); his grandchildren, Gil III (Danniella), Matthew and Bella; his great-grandchildren, Marissa, Paulo and Stella Grace; his brother, Robert; and his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the Visitation at Funeraria del Angel Trevino – 226 Cupples Rd. 78237 – will be limited to only 50 people. Face coverings are required to be worn at all times.

Family will be receiving friends for a Visitation on Sunday, October 25, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. On Monday, October 26, the public will meet at 11:15 AM at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church – 102 Lorenz Rd. 78209 – for a Mass to begin at 11:45 AM. Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery – 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. 78209 – at 1:30 PM in Shelter #3.
