Anita Hernandez, born December 26, 1932 in Bastrop, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2023 at the age of 90.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Alexander M. Hernandez; daughter: Barbara Lopez; and grandchildren: Jeremy Barragan and Sapphire Gallego.
Anita is survived by her daughters: Alma Hernandez, Dinathe Ettner and Cynthia Hernandez; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Anita is also survived by her siblings; Yolanda and Juan, as well as numerous extend relatives and friends and her dog Brandy.
Anita loved to tend to her garden, and shop at garage sales and antique stores. She also loved talking on the phone with her family and eating Mexican food with lots of chile.
The Inurnment will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Road, San Antonio, Texas.
