Angel V. Maldonado Jr., age 69, went to be with his Lord and Savior Easter Sunday, April 17, 2022 in San Antonio, TX. He was born in San Benito, TX on January 30, 1953 to Petra and Angel G. Maldonado Sr. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed. He was a diehard Cowboy Fan but his favorite teams to watch was on the sideline of every baseball, football, softball, cheer competition, soccer and every concert his children and grandchildren participated in. He was their number one fan and the loudest supporter.
Angel worked in the oilfield for 30 years as a gun loader and lead operator. He worked for Schulenburger, Weatherford, G.R Wireline, and Black Warrior. He was a hard worker, mentor, and was passionate about his job.
Mr. Maldonado was preceded in death by his father Angel Maldonado Sr. and his brother Ricardo Maldonado. He left many memories to cherish with his wife of 39 years Enedelia G. Maldonado, his son Angel Maldonado III, his daughters Rebeca Maldonado Perez and Angelica Maldonado, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, his mother Petra Maldonado, his brothers David Maldonado and Daniel Maldonado, sisters Sylvia Ramirez, Gloria Salinas, and Alicia Pena.
The Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 2pm, Friday, April 22, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. A catered reception will follow at the Sunset Reception Hall.
