Andres Mejia Arriaga Jr.

Andres Mejia Arriaga Jr., age 81, passed away July 7, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in San Antonio on November 22, 1940 to Andrew & Enriqueta Arriaga. Mr. Arriaga was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran who served in 1961. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.

Mr. Arriaga was married 59 beautiful years to Sylvia Arriaga. He retired at Kelly Air Force Base as a Civil Service Packaging Specialist. In his younger years he enjoyed coaching his children in soccer and playing tennis. He cherished the life he had with his wife.

Mr. Arriaga was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Ann Arriaga and younger brother, Frank Arriaga.

Mr. Arriaga is survived by his wife, Sylvia Arriaga; sons, Stephen Matthew Arriaga, Scot Patrick Arriaga Sr.; siblings, Aurora Purser Arriaga, Jessie Arriaga, Alice Rivera Arriaga, Terri Arriaga, Eddie Arriaga; grandchildren, Ashlie Marie Romero, Jamie Leeza Arriaga, Erika Nicole Arriaga, Stephen Arriaga Jr., Scot Patrick Arriaga II, Andrew John Arriaga, Brittani Lauren Martinez, Jacob Matthew Lopez, Joshua James Lopez; great grandchildren, Anabrisa Mariana Romero, Aaliyah Romero, Edgar Romeo Romero, Erik Jose Romero, Paityn Renee Parker, Martin Ray Parker V, Scot Patrick Arriaga III, Jordan Matthew Castillo, Emma Annisela Rodriguez.

The Memorial Service will be at 3pm, Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (Shelter #1) with Military Honors.
