Amy Ruth Potter, beloved Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Great Aunt & Great Great Aunt. Amy went to be with the rest of her family in Heaven on June 13th, 2013. She was 91. Born on May 27th 1922 to John Wesley Potter Sr. & Amy Joyce Brown Potter. She was the 7th of 8 children. Amy was a hard worker and had several jobs throughout the years including teaching nursery school and working at Smith Chevrolet for over 32 yrs. She was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church & 70yr member of Hermann Sons Grand Lodge. She was the great granddaughter of the Famed” Fighting Parson” Andrew Jackson Potter. She is preceded in death by her parents, and Brothers Homer, Wallace, Russell, John Wesley Jr. & Pat Potter & Sisters Amy Joyce Jureski & Alice Mae Blunt. She was a loving and generous Aunt & survived by numerous nieces & nephews. A special thanks to her niece Cecile Blunt for her loving care she gave to Amy over the past 6 years. She was a special lady and will be missed by all. Visitation will be at Sunset North West Funeral Home on Tuesday June 18th from 5pm to 8pm. Services will be Wednesday June 19th at 10:00am at Sunset North West Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Helotes.
