Alicia Z. Rodriguez

Alicia Zertucha Rodriguez, Age 90, of San Antonio, was born in La Villa, Texas on February 1, 1931. She was called to be with the Lord on Friday, December 10, 2021. She graduated from Fox Tech High School and worked at Kelly, Air Force Base until her retirement. Alicia married Pedro Rodriguez in May, 1958. Their daughter, Teresa, died at childbirth so Alicia and Pete became known as God Parents to the children of their extended family. They loved mariachi music and many travels to Mexico. Church attendance with many friends along the way was very important to them.

She is preceded in death by her mother; Maria Bruna Zertuche, father; Manuel Zertuche, brothers; Jesus M. Zertuche, Eugenio Zertuche, Leopoldo Zertuche, Rene Zertuche, Ramon C. Zertuche, sister; Manuela G. Baltor.

Alicia is survived by her loving brothers and sisters; brothers; Antonio M. Zertuche (Idalia), Manuel Zertuche, Jr. (Cecilia), Fernando J. Zertuche, and Juan A. Zertuche, sisters; Patricia Z. Berck (Al), Irma Ornelas, and Maria T. Zertuche. Alicia is also survived by her loving godchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

As the family of Alicia, we want to express our sincere and appreciation to her friends and neighbors for over 50 years: Al and Alice Lindrews as good neighbors especially the last years of her life. To Alicia's good friend, Maribel, who also cared for her during her last year of life. God bless each of you.

The viewing and extension of condolences to the family will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N. Main Ave., San Antonio, Texas. Followed by the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m.The Procession for the Rite of Christian burial will take place at Mission San Jose at 9:30 a.m. the mass will begin at 10 a.m., 701 E. Pyron Ave., San Antonio, Texas, 78214. Funeral Procession will take place from the church for burial at San Fernando Cemetery # 2, 746 Castroville Road.
