Alicia P. Garcia

Alicia P. Garcia, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the age of 86. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, to parents Crispin and Maria Palacios, on September 6, 1925. Alicia will always be remembered for the dedicated love and devotion she gave to her children. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 48 years, Jose H. Garcia Sr. She is survived by her sons, Fernando P. Garcia and Jose H. Garcia Jr. ; grandchildren, Marivele Garcia, Jose H. Garcia III, and Vanessa G. Maldonado; great-grandchildren, Anthony G. DeLeon, Alejandro G. DeLeon, and Liam Maldonado; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home the following morning, Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Catholic Church, 130 South San Augustine. A Committal Service will follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery II. The family would like to acknowledge the professionals of Trisun Care Center for their kind help.
