After a year-long battle with cancer, Mr. Norton passed away on June 8th, 2017. He was born on March 6th, 1961 in Brownwood, TX to parents Ben and Jeannene Norton. He went on to grow up and live in and around San Angelo, TX where he would make a career and thrive in the oil field industry for more than thirty years. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1979, and it was here he met his high school sweetheart, Rhonda Kaye, whom he would marry thirty-five years later in 2012, proving that love will always beat time in the end.
During their marriage, Wylie and Rhonda enjoyed camping, tubing, going to concerts and traveling. But most of all they enjoyed the time spent with lifelong friends and family from all over.
He is preceded in death by parents Ben and Jeannene Norton, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Rhonda Norton, brother Shelley Norton, brother Ed Norton, sister Katie Norton Botik and husband Mark and niece Lucy; his daughters Stacci Norton, Kellsi Norton, and Elizabeth Norton, all of San Angelo; his stepchildren Morgan Crowder and husband Allen, and Jonathan Alexander, all of Mebane, NC; his six grandchildren Treasure, Layla, Harlow, Quintynn, Zaiden and Max. Also, his four legged babies, Jax, Sophie and Abby.
He was a Member in Standing, Sons of the Republic of Texas (Anson Jones Chapter).
Sincere thanks to our family and friends who provided love and support through this most difficult time. Also, many thanks to Dr. Prieto, his staff, the physicians of M.D. Anderson and the staff of Kindred Hospice.
