Vernon will be remembered as a loving husband, as a great father and as a great grandfather. He was a cowboy and an oilfield worker. As a young cowboy, he ranked 16th in the world as a Bronc Rider. Vernon had a very colorful spirit and character. He was not educated but he was highly intelligent. He was quite the jokester and always had a story to tell. Adventurous and outgoing, there was never a dull moment when you were with him. He had a fantastic sense of humor, was a jack of all trades and made friends easily. He would befriend anyone and literally would give the shirt off of his back. Most importantly, he will be dearly missed.
Vernon is preceded in death by his parents Flossie Bridgford and Jesse Rowe and four siblings. He is survived by his wife Jeannie Rowe; daughters Shaunessey Martinez, Kenna Haley, and Jacklyn Rowe; sons Dennis Parish and Sidney Parish; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and siblings John Rowe, Bill Rowe, Jessie Lee Edwards, Stormy Rowe and Leon Rowe.
