Robert “El Charro Negro” Butler, 79, of San Angelo, passed away October 14, 2016. He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on October 14, 1937. Robert married Imogene Samuel Butler on December 13, 1976. Bobby worked for the City of San Angelo and had a career as a Tejano Music performer for over 50 years. Those left to cherish Bobby’s memory are his children, Tony Butler, Corbette Butler, Debra James, David Butler, Henry James, Ronald (Rqki) Butler, Vanessa James, Karian Samuel and Yolanda Paul; 13 grandchildren, Crystal Butler, Alecia Butler, Victoria Butler, Markeese Butler, Nikole Smith, Kenneth Harvey, Terrance Samuel, Tazz McCoy, Laticia Johnson, Kenneth Vaughn, Destinee Brooks, Jazminee Johnson, and Mika Whisenant; 13 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many, many friends.
