Prissy attended Lake View High School and began to work as a switch board operator for Southwestern Bell for many years. She later went to work for Pool Well Services which led her into her last career where she retired as the only woman working for Transocean Offshore Drilling.
Prissy was a headstrong woman who wanted things done her way, or you hit the highway! She enjoyed bowling and dancing as well as spending time with her friends and family.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her sister; Annett Maus, her brother; Cecil Wayne Cross and a granddaughter; Shelby Morgan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her brother; Garland Cross Jr. and wife Sherry; her sons; Doby Morgan and wife DeAnn, and Tony Diver; her daughter; Tamara May and husband Cody; brother in law; Jimmy Maus; nephews, Johnny Wayne Murtishaw and wife Milessa, and Victor Cross; niece; Michelle DeBoyd and husband Colt; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, as well as other special nieces and nephews, and special ex-husband; Doug Diver.
A graveside service for Prissy will be held at 10 am, Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
