Nancy Elizabeth Mobley

Nancy Elizabeth Fox Mobley, 76 of San Angelo, passed away February 20, 2017. She was born in San Angelo on July 29,1940 . Nancy graduated from San Angelo Central High School and received a Bachelors of Art degree from Angelo State University where she graduated with honors . She was listed in the Who's Who in America book for her artwork. She has several pieces of artwork that are displayed throughout Shannon Hospital. She was married to Thomas Howard Mobley on September 28, 1974 here in San Angelo. Nancy had a career in Architectural Drafting and worked for several companies here in San Angelo such as GTE, Burke Construction Company, as well as teaching art classes. She was a member of Board of directors Hospice of San Angelo; San Angelo Art Club, Beta Sigma Phi, as well as Phi Beta Kappa national honor society. She had a passion for painting , teaching, and collecting antiques. She taught pre-k Sunday School classes for many years at both Park Heights Church as well as Belmore Baptist Church. Following her passion for art and supporting the humanities she loved to design sets for different church and community events. She was survived by her loving husband Thomas Howard Mobley and her children, Billy Carl Wimberley, John Wayne Wimberley, James Bryan Wimberley and wife Marla, Robert Wayne Mobley and wife Sharon, Cheri Lynn Forness and husband Peter. She also leaves to cherish her memories 7 grandchildren, 8 great- grandchildren and a brother Wayne C. Fox. Funeral arrangements will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Belmore Baptist Church .
