Monica Munoz of San Angelo, passed away on Nov. 15, 2012, in a Lubbock hospital. She was 27 years old. Monica graduated from Lake View High School in 2003, and graduated from Howard College in 2011. She was a Radiology Technician at Cogdell Hospital in Snyder, Texas. Monica loved her family, music, and friends. She found happiness in constant road trips with friends to various country concerts all over Texas. She was a beautiful soul with a big heart, would always try to give what she could to anyone in need, which she learned from her wonderful parents. She rarely made acquaintances because most of the people who got to know her became lifelong friends. We will be able to remember great moments and wonderful times we shared with her, because Monica did such a great job of ALWAYS recording many of these moments through videos and taking pictures. She was an amazing "sissy" to her younger brother, Henry and will continue to watch over him, along with the rest of her loved ones as our newest guardian angel. Monica is survived by her parents, Henry and Josie Munoz, and one brother, Henry Munoz Jr., all of San Angelo. Other survivors include her grandmother, Antonia Olveda; and aunts and uncles Alicia Delgado and husband Leo, Andrea Paz, Joe Munoz and wife Graciela Munoz, and Terry Munoz, all of San Angelo, Vicente Munoz Jr. and wife Terry Torres Munoz of Flower Mound, Alfredo Munoz and wife Kathy of El Campo, Manuel Munoz of Houston, and Kathy Munoz and Husband John Gleitman of San Antonio and many cousins. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday at Johnson's Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father David Herrera officiating, with burial following in Mertzon Cemetery. Pallbearers are Gustavo Castro, Mario Castro, Leo Delgado, III, Nester Hernandez, Manuel Munoz and Gabriel Ortega. Many thanks go out to Monica's friends, who were there for her throughout her life and especially during her last days in the hospital. Rozanna Garcia, Patricia Florez, Juanita Wyatt, Jessica Garcia, Martha Guisinger, Elizabeth Castorena, Stacey Fuentes, Tiffany Hernandez, Francisco Jimenez and her very first best friend and cousin Courtney Castro. Many Thanks to the Radiology department at Cogdell Hospital also to the doctors and nurses who cared for Monica at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock. Isaiah 41:10 "Do not be afraid, for I am with you; do not be alarmed, for I am your God. I give you strength, truly I help you, truly I hold you firm with my saving right hand." We will miss you Monica. Family and friends may sign an online register book at www.johnsons-funeralhome.com.
