Mary Sue Kyle, 85, of San Angelo, Texas went to her heavenly home on Monday, August 7, 2023. She was born in Carthage, Texas to Lucile and Reedie Colemon on May 22, 1938. Mary Sue attended Carthage High School and graduated in the class of 1956. She married the love of her life, Ardis Dallas Kyle, Jr. on March 2, 1956, and together they raised their three children in a loving Christian home. Mary Sue was an excellent and gracious minister's wife, a wonderful homemaker, a superb cook and the best mother.
Mary Sue was saved as a teenager and spent her life serving as a minister’s wife in a number of Baptist churches, all across Texas as well as in New Mexico and Colorado. She is currently a member at Calvary Baptist Church where she attended as often as she was able. She loved hymns and good preaching! Her hobbies included playing the piano, needlepoint, crocheting, painting, cooking, and reading. Mary Sue was a creative and fun-loving person, and thoroughly enjoyed adventures with her husband. She also loved playing games with her family, especially “42”.
Mary Sue is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, A.D. Kyle, Jr.; her siblings, Robert Colemon, Gene Colemon, Buddy Colemon, Doris Devore, and Jimmy Colemon.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Keith Kyle and wife Candy, Beth Huckabee and husband James, Joseph Riley Kyle and wife Lori; her grandchildren, Cara Fowler and husband Erik, Adrian Kyle, Hilary Marroquin and husband Marcus, Mary Beth Huckabee, Joseph Scott Kyle and wife Tracy, James Kyle and wife Brittney, and Dallas Kyle and wife Angela; her great grandchildren, Noah and Levi Fowler, Mila, Brooks, Silas, and Jovie Marroquin, and Matthias Kyle. She is survived by her sister, Betty Faye Baitland and will be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The funeral service for Mary Sue will be held Monday, August 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 West Beauregard Avenue, San Angelo, Texas. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Carthage, Texas.
