Mary Enriquez Estrada, 98 years old, of San Angelo, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2013. The Rosary will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with interment to follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Officiating mass will be Father Emilio Sosa. Mary was born December 20, 1914 to Rosendo and Jesusita Enriquez in San Angelo, TX. Mary married John A. Estrada in 1934 and lived happily for 66 years with 3 children. Mary was a homemaker and a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was mostly known for the love she shared with her family and community. Mary was a long time active member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband and son, John Jr. (buddy). She is survived by 2 daughters, Rita “Pinkie” Estrada and Patricia Estrada Maldonado; daughter-in-law Nancy Estrada; and five grandchildren; Lisa, Jesse and wife Anna, Kristy, Jessica, and John. Survivors also include great grandchildren Marcus, Michael, Elena, and Joey as well as many nieces and nephews. She was known as a grandmother to many other children. Pallbearers will be Jesse Nava, John Maldonado, John Marcus Estrada, James Michael Sevier, Junius Hebert Jr. and Eddie Aldrete. The family would like to give thanks to Linda Benavides for the companionship and love she showed Mary, words cannot express enough gratitude for all she has done, and an extended special thanks to the staff of Park Plaza who cared for her the past few years. “For we are not our own masters when we live or when we die. While we live, we live to please the Lord. And when we die, we go to be with the Lord. So in life and in death, we belong to the Lord” Romans 14:7-8
