Justin was born on March 31, 1980 to Lisa Harris in Brownwood, Texas. Justin graduated from Water Valley High School in 1998 and Henderson State University in 2004. He married the love of his life, Jacqueline “Jackie” Smith of San Angelo, Texas on December 18, 2010. Together they made San Angelo their home. Justin was currently employed by USAA Insurance Company. Their 10 year old son, Cannon Smith, is their greatest accomplishment. Justin’s world revolved around Jackie and Cannon. Justin absolutely loved watching Cannon play baseball. Cannon was his best friend and baseball brought him so much joy. Justin enjoyed collecting baseball cards, working in the yard, grilling for his family and driving his Jeep with the top off. Justin also loved traveling with his family. His most talked about family trip took place in 2019 which included a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, white water rafting and a hot air balloon ride.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandparents, J.W. and Leona Smith; Georgia Courtney and Jackie Messer.
Justin is survived by his wife Jackie Smith; his son Cannon Smith; his mother Lisa Harris (Kenny); his brother Kevin Smith; his sister Cheyenne New (Walter); mother-in-law Carol Smith (David) & father-in-law Terry Stinnett, Sr.; brother-in-laws Terry Stinnett, Jr. (Brandy) and Justin Smith (Carly); and sister-in-law Miranda Cooke (John); and multiple aunts, uncles and cousins. Justin loved spending time with his nieces Chloey and Kiera Stinnett and also cared for Brady Smith, Kelly New, Morgan and Jake Cooke, and Carson and Riley Smith.
Justin’s family wishes to extend their thanks to the first responders of the San Angelo Fire Department, multiple nurses and health professionals at Shannon Medical Center, RN Brittany Cobos, Dr. Ghaby, Dr. Hitchcock, Shannon chaplain Rebecca, and child life specialist Elizabeth Bailey.
