Juan Reyna Ortiz

Juan Reyna Ortiz of San Angelo, TX passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023. He was born on October 14, 1949 in Rio Bravo Allende, Coahuila, Mexico to Juan Ortiz and Petra Reyna Ortiz. Juan married Elida Hernandez on December 20, 1969 and had 3 children. Juan had a career in construction, working for Lee Lewis General Contractor for 42 years. He had a passion for working, the Rodeo, spending family time with his children. Juan will always be remembered for his time Bull riding and Saddle Bronc riding with Artist Actor Antonio Aguilar and Hnos. Loera. He was preceded in death by his father Juan Ortiz, mother Petra Reyna Ortiz, his Paternal Grandparents, Trinidad and Felipa Ortiz, his Maternal Grandparents, Lupe and Maria Reyna, his sister Esperanza Ortiz, his brothers Ramon Ortiz and Ramiro Ortiz and his grandson Anthony Roberto Ortiz. Those left to cherish his memory are his siblings Maria Romero of Yakima, Washington, Evangelina Lopez and husband Rito of Del Rio, Texas, Jesus Ortiz and wife Paty of Del Rio, Texas and Petra Nieto of San Antonio, Texas, his children Juan (John) Javier Ortiz, Alma Capuchin and husband Pedro and Dial Ortiz and wife Laura, his grandchildren John Ortiz, Serena Ortiz of Baytown, TX, Raul Napoles, III of Midland, TX, Romario Napoles of Ft. Worth, TX, Rocio Sanchez, Analia Capuchin, Caleb Ortiz and Christian Ortiz. He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank everyone who was there for Juan and the family during this time. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the chapel of Johnson’s Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
