Joshua Marren was born March 21, 1981 in Culver City, CA. He moved to Northern California as a child, graduating from Rio Linda High School, where he met his best friend and future wife, Mary. They were two peas in a pod, sharing similar senses of humor and interests. They loved going on adventures together and sharing inside jokes.
Josh graduated with his Bachelors in Cybersecurity, following his passion and interest in computer sciences. He worked as an IT professional in several places across the country, including at Canon AFB in Clovis, NM and NewQuest IT Solutions in San Angelo, TX.
Josh was an avid gamer, photographer, techy, motorcycle rider, and RC racer. Josh also loved the outdoors and would spend as much time out in nature as he could. He loved to explore and find remote areas to spend a few days camping and relaxing. His other favorite vacation was cruising; he loved exploring new locations, cultures, and history.
Josh had an infectious smile and laugh that made everyone around him light up. He was a kind and happy person, that enjoyed making others smile with his jokes. Even during his two-year battle with cancer, and on his toughest days, he would still find ways to brighten everyone’s day.
He passed away on April 19, 2021 surrounded by his parents and wife. He was a loving son, husband and friend. His amazing soul will forever be missed. An informal Celebration of Life will be held in his honor at 11am on May 2, 2021 at the Fort Concho Museum Officer’s Quarters 8 located at 630 S. Oakes St. San Angelo, TX 76903.
