After many years of prayers and witness, it is with great joy that we can announce that Gregorio (Greg) Perez, age 60, of San Angelo, Texas, accepted Jesus Christ and passed away Monday, April 12th, 2021, with his family holding him, praying, and singing. He took his last breath and went to join his savior and family that has gone before him. We live in hope and promise of Christ to be with him once again.
As a child, he loved to play with toy cars, and if his toys were unavailable, sneakers and boots made perfect vehicles and trucks. You could hear him make the sound of cars peeling out and trucks backing up. His love for cars and trucks never left him as he grew. When he got his license, you could hear him peeling out, and then you could hear his eighteen-wheeler backing up. For thirty years, the road's solitude and seeing this great country of ours as a long haul truck driver gave him pleasure. The only thing that gave him more joy were children. Children could make demands of him no adult could ever dream. He treasured their love and doing for them. The tenderness in his heart for children was the window into his soul of the person he could be.
Greg is survived by his daughter Dana Marie Torrez, three grandchildren, Christopher, Desiree, Delaina, his mother Rosa Perez, father Carlos Perez, three siblings, Carl Perez, Jaime Perez, Angelica Anderson, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
