He was born on October 29, 1973 in San Angelo, Texas to Bob and Donna George. Garrett attended Wall High School and graduated in the class of 1993. He later went to Howard Payne University before beginning his career as a Respiratory Therapist for Professional Medical.
Garrett had a passion for the great outdoors and enjoyed everything it had to offer. He especially loved fishing and hunting. Garrett's love of hunting led him to become a Hunting Guide, leading others on excursions and even traveling to various places including Africa. When he wasn't on the hunt or casting a line, Garrett also enjoyed traveling. His most enjoyable trips were those to Costa Rica with his father.
Garrett was preceded in death by his father, Bob George; grandparents, Don & Lucy Waggoner; and aunt & uncle Judy & Ricky Ruth.
Left to cherish Garrett's memory are his children, Garrison George and Megan Smith; mother, Donna George; brother, Rob George and wife Christine; uncles Jim Mitchell and wife Jeanie, and Eddie Waggoner; and aunt, Lana Mitchell. Also left are cousins Roby George and wife Victoria, Madyson George, Doug Mitchell, Dawn Nichelson and husband Philip, Lauren Nichelson, Logan Nichelson, and Stephanie Ruth; second cousins, Addison Mitchell, Mac Mitchell, Slater Ruth, and Rickki Ruth.
Visitation for Garrett will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday March 18th, 2024 at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024 at First Christian Church's Courtyard. Interment will follow at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
