Francisco M. Flores, age 84, of San Angelo, Texas entered into rest on Monday August 26, 2019. Francisco was born September 13, 1934 in Fort Stockton, Texas. He married the love of his life, Rebecca Z. Flores, on July 28, 1954. Francisco is survived by his son Frank Z. Flores Jr. and wife Odelia; son Albert Z. Flores; daughter Aurora F. Gonzalez and husband Joaquin; daughter Suzanne Flores and husband Geo; daughter Rosa F. Diaz and husband Ambrose; daughter Norma F. Contreras and husband Juan; brother Richard Flores and sister Maria Flores. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
He was a hard worker and was employed as a Supervisor in the Cotton Gin for Wall Seed and Delinting, Inc. Francisco was also known for always wanting to make people happy and making sure they were well-fed with his famous barbeque. He had many hobbies that included, making BBQ pits, large-scale model airplanes and flying saucers, planting beautiful gardens and making little hobby chairs out of coke cans. Francisco loved bringing out music from his accordion and harmonica. He always had some sort of entertainment for us, that was his way. He adored baking cakes and kept his freezer full of ice cream and popsicles for all the kids. He was a good man that always took care of his family and made many sacrifices for them. He was very tough and never gave up on things. Francisco was a fighter until the end...after all, he is a Flores! A visitation for Mr. Flores will be held Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 W Beauregard Ave, San Angelo, Texas. A Graveside Service will occur Friday, August 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Johnson's Lawnhaven Memorial Garden in San Angelo, Texas. Serving as pallbearers are Albert Flores Jr., Anjel Flores, Abraham Granados, Santiago Granados, Isaac Sosa, and Frank Flores Jr. Honorary pallbearers include Angel Hernandez, Ambrose Diaz III, Sam Diaz and Luke Lopez.
