Elva was born on September 12, 1933, in Lampazos, Nuevo Leon México, to the late Demetrio and Eulalia Lozano.
On December 27, 1951, She married the love of her life, Gregorio G. Flores. They met at a young age, were married for 71 years, and raised eight loving children together. Elva was a wonderful, loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, reading her Bible, and having her family around. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God for 34 faithful years.
Elva is survived by her two daughters, Estella (Jerry) Gomez and Rose (Fernando) Urista; her five sons, Jose Luis (Letica) Flores, Greg (Sally) Flores, Harvey (Becky) Flores, Martin (Connie) Flores and Richard Flores and only surviving Sister Nena Lozano Garza. She is also Survived by 12 grandchildren,26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Elva is preceded in death by her husband, Gregorio G. Flores; her son, Johnny Flores; her parents, Demetrio and Eulalia Lozano; two sisters and six brothers.
A visitation for Elva will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A celebration of Elva’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, in the Chapel with Rev. Israel Flores officiating with Burial at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include her grandsons David Jaques, Jose Luis Flores Jr., Greg Flores III, Charlie Cruz, Isaac Flores, Erik Flores, and Richie Flores.
