Daniel N. Lopez

Danny graduated from Eden High School and moved to Los Angeles, CA for a couple of years. Afterwards, he returned to Texas and was married to Doris Lopez. He and Doris raised two children. He retired from Winn Dixie grocery market as a meat cutter after 22 years. Danny always enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and playing a game of pool with friends. He will forever be remembered for his fishing trips and rides to the river, enjoying time with the family and the simple things in life.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Leon & Maria Lopez; father-in-law Vicente Garcia.

Danny is survived by his wife, Doris Lopez; mother-in-law Josephine Garcia; son Jacob Daniel Lopez & wife Catherine; daughter Lataine and husband Aaron Hess; granddaughter Alexa Lopez;brothers Joe Lopez and wife Janie of Eden, TX, Leon Lopez Jr and wife Ofelia of Eden, TX, Fred Lopez of Eden, TX, Roy Lopez of Austin, TX, as well as many nephews, nieces and extended family.

Pallbearers will be Ray Lopez, Mario Lopez, Damian Saiz, Donnie Simmons of San Angelo, TX. Michael Lopez and David Carrion of Eden, TX.

A Vigil Viewing and Rosary will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 17th at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with entombment following in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
