Billy J. Vickers

An open viewing for Billy will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 W Beauregard Ave, San Angelo, Texas 76903. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Fairmount Cemetery, 1120 W Ave N, San Angelo, Texas 76909.

She graduated from Lockney High School in 1946. She worked for Southwest Telephone Company where she met B. L. Vic Vickers. They were married in Lovington, N. M. in 1953 and settled in San Angelo, Texas in 1954 and lived there until her death.

Billy was always interested in Art from a very early age, always carrying a sketch book wherever she went. She studied Art at Angelo State and with several Art teachers in San Angelo. She and Vic were both interested in history, Indian Artifacts, traveling and collecting antiques.

Billy was a member of Southland Baptist Church for many years, enjoying her Joy Sunday School class and later her Friendship class.

Billy had many nieces and nephews that she loved and visited often.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vic.

Billy is survived by daughter, Pam Fredeck, granddaughter, Samantha and fiancé, Erik King; son, Stan Vickers and wife, Tricy and grandson, Collin Vickers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Billy's memory may be made to Meals for the Elderly, San Angelo, Texas or to a charity of your choice.
