Beulah Jane Hill, 99, passed this plane of existence December 19th, Year of our Lord 2017. She was born on March 13, 1918, in Wheeler County, Texas. She lived three months less than 100 years. She was preceded in death by her father, A. B. Jeffers; mother, Hattie Alice Jeffers; brothers, Daniel, T. L, Orton, and Austin Jeffers, and one sister, Bertha DeBoard. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Joe H. Hill, and one son Jack W. Hill. She is survived by her daughter, Alice Rodgers of Gun Barrel Texas; son, Joe Hill and wife Paulette of Christoval, Texas, and her daughter in law, Billie Hill of North Richland Hills, Texas. She has seven grandchildren with numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Its not fair to limit her family to the above list since she was either 'Mom' or 'Granny' to so many. Most that came to know her would agree.
Her life began on a farm in the Panhandle of Texas transported on a grain wagon being pulled by 'Jack and Brian' then after the depression moved down to Electra, Texas, where she graduated High School, married her Husband Joe H. and raised 3 children. Her career was as a Christian. The jobs on this earth was only to make the former more do-able and ranged from domestic cleaning, factory work, field work and of course home making for her family. In her later years she lived in Christoval, Texas with her son and daughter in law. She was a member of the West Angelo Church of Christ and loved that church so dearly.
Her passion after her service to the Lord was to crochet and made sure her family and friends had as much as needed or wanted. It has been said 'The best sermons in life are lived and not preached.' Pray daily to live such a sermon.
