1929~2017
Our beloved angel, Jeannine, passed away peacefully from this life and into the arms of her loving Heavenly Father, eternal companion and family on Wednesday, April 19, 2017. She was born on January 9, 1929, to Lee and Melva Wheeler in Glendale, Idaho. She married Milton L. Johnson on December 2, 1947, and was later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints and served in various callings.
Jeannine came from a musically talented family and played the piano in her father’s dance band, entertaining crowds for several years, during and post World War II. She was a Buyer for Utah Power and Light and retired after 26 years. Though being diagnosed with polio in her teens and scoliosis in her later years, she persevered through life, never letting them be an obstacle to hold her back from her dreams and goals. Family was everything to Jeannine and she was the center of her family and a heavenly angel on earth.
She is survived by her daughters Deborah Crail and Mitzi Nelson; 3 granddaughters, 2 grandsons and 6 great-granddaughters. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 2 sons-in-law.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017, at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 3401 S. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City Utah.
