I have so many wonderful memories of this Amazing Woman, she was like a second Mother to me. She was a very special part of my life and childhood, and she will always have a special place in my Heart. My Thoughts and Prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. I love you, Grandma Hoo! You're beautiful inside & out, and I have so many unforgettable memories with you. You're an amazing woman to look up to.. Your talents inspire me, your strength empowers me and your spirit enlightens me. I love you, and I will always remember you forever more as my favorite grandma, Grandma Hoo :)

Much beloved mother and grandmother, Betty Lou Austin Robinson, age 88, passed away at her home in Salt Lake City on August 6th, 2015. She was born September 2, 1926 to Allen Lavelle Austin and Esther Lily Riser Austin in SLC, UT. She graduated from East High School.  She was married to Glenn M. Robinson. Betty is survived by her children Jerry L. McMillan (Gina), Lori Bawden, Sylvia McMillan, Yvonne McMillan (Dennis Phillips), and Tammy Simpson (Rich).  She has 18 Grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.  Services will be Saturday, August 15th at 11:00 am at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.  The family will receive friends at a viewing Friday August 14th from 6:00-8:00 pm, and August 15th from 10:00-10:45 am.

Betty Lou was a remarkably loving and giving woman who welcomed all to her humble home.  She was an accomplished artist and used her talent to support her family doing illustrations for the Yellow Pages as well as donating her time to charity events drawing caricatures.  Her numerous oil paintings are enjoyed by many family members.  She penned and illustrated a series of childrens' books for her grandchildren.  She learned to dance in post WWII Tremonton, UT where her parents owned, for a short while, a dance hall.  She could cut the rug with the best of them.  She was a science fiction fanatic and could never read enough about the possibility of other dimensions and worlds.  She loved bowling and golf, as well as soap operas and chocolate. She had a clown collection that grew year by year to epic proportions. Grandma Lou was a no frills, down to earth person, had a good sense of humor and was everyone's favorite grandma. She was a devoted mother above all and dedicated her life to serving her family. There never will be another Betty Lou. May flights of angels take you to your rest, mom. You are honored and loved by those who knew you and will miss you sorely.
