Richard B. Corry, 81, of Salisbury passed away, Sunday, July 23, 2023, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury. He was the oldest son of the late Richard & Louise Corry of Fruitland, MD.
Richard was a graduate of Wicomico Senior High School (1962) where he excelled as a football and baseball player. Richard was also a United States Marine Corps Veteran (Corporal) from 1963-1967 serving in the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device. After he returned home, he eventually married (divorced) and relocated to Andover, MA in 1970 where he was a Regional Sales Manager for CPC International. In the early 1980’s Richard returned home to Salisbury where he resided until his passing.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura C. Corry of Newburyport, MA; brother, Jeff W. Corry (Beth) of Bluffton, SC, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, David E. Corry (Sharon) of Salisbury, MD.
A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, August 25th, 2023, at 9:00 am at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church of Salisbury, with a private burial to follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, MD.
