Jack Henry Mitchell, 74, of Parsonsburg, MD passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Betty Henry and Joseph Samuel Mitchell.
Jack retired after 38 years at DuPont as a maintenance planner. He was an Avid Traditional Bow Hunter. He was a member of the Seaford Rod and Gun Club, the Salisbury Maryland Kennel Club, and a member of My Way Canine Freestyle.
He is survived by his wife, Jennieann Elizabeth Mitchell; daughter, Tammy Mitchell of Chincoteague, VA; grandson, Samuel Broyles and wife Carly of Melfa, VA; and two great-grandsons, George and Ivan Broyles of Melfa, VA. In addition, he is also survived by several nieces, cousins, and one great-nephew. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, John Wayne Mitchell.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Bounds Funeral Home, 705 East Main Street, Salisbury, MD 21804.
