Joyce graduated from Timnath High School in Timnath, Colorado. She was married to Peter Cotting, Sr. Joyce worked as a bookkeeper her whole career. She was a member of the VFW women’s auxiliary and served at her church as a Sunday School teacher in her younger years. Joyce was a faithful Christian. She was always knitting or putting a puzzle together, whenever she was sitting. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by her five children and their spouses, Ron (Joann) Woelfle, Gary (Julie) Woelfle, Dee (John) Simmons, Peter Cotting, Jr. (Dejah Hall-Cotting), and Jeanette (Kevin) Thomas; her thirteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and her siblings, Bobbie Stirkel, Lorene Kilburn, Bennie Saxbury, Lyndel Saxbury, and Vicki Saxbury.
A memorial service for Joyce will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors, 1350 Commercial Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97302.
