Howard was a core member of the technical team at ALS USA Inc where he provided a rare brand of chemistry expertise to geologists around the world hoping to discover new ore bodies to support the world's appetite for metal.  He taught us all about chemistry and there were many geologists who absolutely relied on Howard's expertise when it mattered most.  He was valued by colleagues and clients alike for his quiet but dry wit and ready laugh in addition to his expertise.  Howard has been retired for many years.  However, the ones he worked with will remember him well.  Our condolences to his family.
