Dora Lingenfelter, 100, of Aumsville died Sunday.
Born in Salem, Dora attended and graduated from Salem High School. In 1943, Dora married Leonard whom she later went on to have 3 sons with: James “Jim”, Roy, and Dale. After the birth of her sons, she worked at Eyerly Aircraft as an office manager for 30 years. Dora was active in the local Friends community throughout her life.
Dora was adventurous in spirit and enjoyed traveling both abroad and domestically. Born and raised on a farm, she also prided herself in her garden and canning the fruits of her labor.
Preceded in death by her brother, sister, husband, and eldest son.
Dora is survived by Roy and Karen Lingenfelter of Aumsville, Dale and Lou Ann Lingenfelter of Ohio, Joyce Lingenfelter of Roanoke, Virginia, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
No service will be held. Her final resting place can be found at Mt. Hope Cemetery next to her husband, Leonard.
