He will be remembered by his wife of 56 years, Shirley; children: David Jr. (Mary), Diane (Russ), Roger (Jean), Lisa (Rick), Dana (Jim); grandchildren: Stephen, Brandon, Samantha, Kimberly, Christopher, Brian, Melanie, Kevin, Mariah, Miles; 19 great grandchildren; sister Evelyn, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Seth and Rose Maxwell, and his brothers, Daniel, Carl, and Phillip.
Born in Redlands, CA, David grew up in and around Texas. He joined the US Army in 1951, serving 3 years in Staten Island, NY during the Korean War as a Corporal (T) Technician. He had a love and knack for working with electronics and computers both during the war and since. After the army, he moved to California and joined Allstate Insurance Co, then continued his career for the next 27 years as a QA Engineer at Lockheed, where he received recognition and numerous awards.
David had a love for fitness; he jogged, ran in races, golfed and lifted weights. In his early 90s he rode a computerized exercise bike, and walked on a treadmill. He was easy going, patient and relaxed. He was a solid role model for his family, and was loved and respected by all.
