Craig grew up in Salem, the oldest of three boys. After graduating from Sprague (Class of 1988), he attended Chemeketa Community College for two years, before moving to Klamath Falls to attend the Oregon Institute of Technology, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Medical Imaging Technology in 1994. Craig them moved to Parker, Arizona, where he conducted an externship for two years, followed by three years at a medical center in Yuma, Arizona. Craig wanted to move back home and started working at Providence Hospital in Portland in 1999, where he enjoyed a fulfilling career as a CT Technologist until his passing. Craig was drawn to his career field due to his encounter with the incredible men and women that helped him when he battled brain cancer when he was 13 years old.
Craig was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Although life threw challenges Craig’s way, he lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed travelling, using the latest technologies, fishing, shooting guns and automobiles. Craig paid more attention and took better care of his vehicles than he did of himself, especially the Porsche’s he owned throughout the years. He is survived by his father, Keith, brothers, Kevin and Shane, two sisters-in-law, three nephews and his beloved cat, Bailey. Craig was loved and will be missed.
There will be no services, per Craig’s request. He will be interred at Belcrest Memorial Park in Salem.
