Aaron Lee Bock

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Bock, grandparents Earl and Jane Bock, grandmother Mae Watson. and grandparents Al and Cathy McCune.

He is survived by his wife Michele, mother Marcia Berry, stepfather Ted Berry, brother Colby, sons Cameron and Devon, grandfather Cecil Watson, step daughters Aryal and Alyssa, and the love of Aaron's life granddaughter Caylee (Jo Jo).

Aaron was born on a sunny day in Klamath Falls on June 11, 1972. He graduated from Aloha High School where he was on both the water polo and swim team. Aaron enlisted in the Navy in 1990. Both of Aaron's sons were born during his time in the Navy; Cameron in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Devon in Millington, Tennessee. His grandfather Cecil's favorite memory of this time was when he got to do a ride along on the USS Lincoln with Aaron from San Diego to Victoria BC.

Aaron was most proud of his Navy Career. He served three tours in the Persian Gulf on both the USS Eisenhower and USS Lincoln, and serving during Operation Desert Storm.

After the Navy, Aaron continued as a public servant as a walking mailman working for the United States Postal Service in Salem, Oregon for 15 years. He made many lifelong friends during this time.

Outside of work Aaron stayed busy with his sons Cameron and Devon's soccer and baseball games. Aaron also loved bowling and he competed in tournaments as far away as Reno, Nevada with his wife Michele by his side. Aaron was recently able to spend 40 days in Oklahoma helping his son Cameron renovate his newly purchased home.

Aaron was a true warrior in his fight against Glioblastoma for five and a half years. He participated in two clinical trials, one at OHSU and the other most recently at the Ivy Brain Tumor Center in Arizona. He truly hoped that his participation would help others.

Aaron- you will be missed more than words can convey.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am on March 21st at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at Willamette National Cemetery at 1:30pm. All are welcome.
