Roslyn was a friend of my mother-in-law's family. I have only one memory of her, and that is of her sick sense of humor. When my husband's grandmother was celebrating her 92nd birthday, "Sis", as she was known, agreed to bring a cake to the celebration. It was a highly decorated 3 layer cake. When the birthday girl went to cut the cake, all she met with was metal cake pans. No cake, just pans which "Sis" had decorated with no cake. In my entire life, I had never witnessed such a disgusting joke,  made even worse on a sweet elderly lady. The last time I saw her was at a lovely 50th wedding anniversary party for my in-laws. When offered a glass of fine champagne, she turned it down because it was not "good enough." We offered her other libations, which she dismissed as inferior. I'll always remember her as being one of the most hateful and nasty women I've ever encountered in my life.

I never had the honor of meeting Roslyn, but I learned what a remarkable woman she was from her wonderful son Mark, my neighbor and friend.  From the stories he's shared I know Roslyn brought a unique and joyous light into the world. She will be truly missed by family and friends.

 I celebrate her life and was blessed to have lived next door to her and spent many times being with her.  Roz will live in my heart for as long as I exist. May eternal peace be upon her as she rests in peace next to her beloved husband, Harry
