With a heavy heart, we are sad to say that Harriet Levy passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family at the age of 84. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harold Levy, her daughters, Mara Kaufman (Stuart) and Jill Kerrigan (Greg), her granddaughter, Taylor Kaufman and fiancé, Griffin Beaney. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews, all of whom were remarkably close to her heart.
Born to Lillian and Edward Kanter in Beverly, MA, Harriet was a graduate of Beverly High school. She then went on to attend the University of Connecticut for two years and finished her degree at Boston University after her father passed away. She spent over thirty years working for LH Rogers as a sales associate, travelling the world on behalf of the store buying the next season’s most coveted designer clothing. In addition to her love of fashion, Harriet expressed her creative talents through knitting sweaters, painting with watercolors and thoroughly enjoyed participating in art classes offered through the Danvers Senior Center and Brightview Senior Living.
A graveside funeral service for Harriet will be held on August 29th 2022 at 11:00am at Sons of Abraham Cemetery located at 18 Cole Street, Beverly, MA 01915. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory can be donated to one of the following charities: Alzheimer’s Association, Elara Caring Hospice Foundation or Temple B’nai Abraham of Beverly, MA.
