Alan loved to stay active. He was an avid dancer throughout his life, performing various styles locally and abroad in both formal and informal settings. His passion was folk dancing; he was a member of the Mandala Folk Dance Ensemble and attended MIT Folk Dance Club on Sunday nights. In addition to dance, he participated in several Appleman triathlons in his 60s, placing at the top of his age bracket.
Alan is survived by his partner Donna November; children Zach, Madeline, and Hannah Warner and their mother Faith Krohlow; sister and brother-in-law Karen and Larry Wolosky; as well as a large extended family and many friends.
A celebration of life service will take place Friday, November 22 at 11 AM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel in Salem, Massachusetts. Colorful attire requested in honor of Alan’s love of color and his vibrant spirit. Funeral service plans are still pending for a later date and will take place at the North Arlington Jewish Cemetery in New Jersey.
