Bill was the beloved husband of Peggy (nee: Margaret Vandervort) for 64 years. He leaves behind children Catherine (Stephen Novak) Doty and William (Brandy) Doty, Granddaughters Sarah, Jadyn and Raena Doty, Great Grandaughter Genevieve “Vivi” McBride and his beloved dog, Beau. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Hubert F. & Alma L. Doty and his sister Genevieve Doty.
Bill was a proud alumnus of Monmouth College and member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He was a long-time member of the NRA and the American Legion and a generous benefactor to many charities.
He proudly served his country in the Army, and retired from Ralston-Purina.
Services through Hoffmeister South County Chapel will be open to friends and family at 11 am-12:30 pm Wednesday, August 11, 2021. Funeral service will be celebrated Wednesday at 12:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Committal with full military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1:30PM, Wednesday, August 11, 2021.
